Celebrating Belinda Phahlane

A lot of people have walked through our doors at Girls and Boys Town South Africa during the 64 years that we have been around. Most have healed and overcome their distressing situations, to develop into independent and strong adults. We would like to introduce you to Belinda in the hopes that you will feel inspired.

22-year-old confident and outspoken Belinda Phahlane came to us in 2014 as she struggled with life’s challenges. She grew and developed valuable life skills and was the first girl to become a leader at GBTSA.

Many of our other young residents liked Belinda because she was fair and listened to her peers’ needs.  After leaving us Belinda went on to complete her secondary education and a diploma in Business Administration specialising in economics at Richfield Graduate Institution of Technology. She worked at Telkom as a Sales Consultant and she is currently working at Old Mutual as a Financial Advisor. How exciting that Belinda was able to purchase a new car! We cannot wait to see her future successes.
