The Tongaat Capital Campaign
Our Tongaat campus buildings stand condemned and now over 61 years of work that has served to build the strong foundations of so many young may fail too.
Together with the generous help of Boogertman +Partners and other firms who have already rallied to help our cause, we have found an ingenious way to not only preserve KwaZulu Natal history but to serve the future generations of children who so desperately depend on our strong grounding to survive and thrive also.

Magalieburg Renovation and Revitalisation Project
At 61 years of age, the Magaliesburg campus in Gauteng is the oldest GBT youth development centre in South Africa. Over the years it has provided thousands of vulnerable youth with a nurturing and developmental environment in which they have been equipped with the necessary skills to grow and mature into contributing members of family and society. Magaliesburg campus is, therefore, in need of serious renovation to repair and rehabilitate the ageing structure of the youths living quarters. We need to secure R6 002 122 to complete the renovation, in order to house our youth in a structurally sound and safe environment.

Kagiso Energy Saving Project
Our Kagiso campus has 45 youth currently in their care. The goal of this project is to significantly reduce Kagiso’s monthly electric cost, by purchasing and having energy efficient heat pumps installed to replace the electrical furnaces that are currently being used at the campus. The estimated cost to purchase and install these heat pumps are R 200 100. The project impact: To stream hot water to the living quarters of all youth and staff at Kagiso, while saving electricity cost to campus.
